How to take a Blackboard Quiz with Respondus Lockdown Browser (Student Guide)

  1. Open LockDown Browser (LDB) on your computer. Note: Check for updates to make sure you are using the latest version. Click here if you need to download and install the Respondus LockDown Browser.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow and select Learn 9 as the server.
  3. Click OK.
  4. LDB will prompt you to close any programs that can’t run while LDB is running. Click Close Process for each program to continue.
  5. Log in to Blackboard with your Cougarnet username and password.
  6. Once logged in navigate to your course to take the quiz.
  7. If your quiz is also using Respondus Monitor, you will have to complete the webcam setup process before starting the quiz.
