TP8: How to Convert Existing PowerPoint Questions to TurningPoint Questions

If you have a PowerPoint presentation that already has questions and you want to make them interactive by turning them into TurningPoint questions, you can go to that slide within PowerPoint and add a chart under objects. Typically, TurningPoint is able to recognize questions and answer choices and turn the slide into a TurningPoint Question slide.

Note: This works best for multiple choice questions.

  1. Open your existing PowerPoint file through the TurningPoint software by clicking Start Now under PowerPoint Polling.
  2. Select the slide that contains the questions you intend to convert.
  3. At TurningPoint Toolbar, select Objects tab > Charts > Vertical.
  4. Select the correct answer choice for your question.
  5. When TurningPoint converts a question into multiple-choice format, it automatically adds letters to the corresponding questions. If your answer choices already had letters preceding them, delete the duplicate letters.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 for the remaining slides with questions.
