How to Create a New PointSolution Account through Canvas

A PointSolutions Account is required for the safety and security of your data. All information is encrypted and associated with you as a person. Without a PointSolutions Account, you can’t open the PointSolutions Desktop software.

Before creating your Turning account, you need to have a “PointSolutions Account Registration” link in your Canvas course.  See the tutorial How to Add PointSolutions Registration Link in Canvas

Part I.  Creating a PointSolutions Account

  1. Log into Canvas.
  2. Select the course you use with PointSolutions.
  3. Locate and click PointSolutions Registration link.
    Note: If you do not see the PointSolutions Account Registration link, see the above tutorial.
  4. Your First Name, Last Name and UH email address (xxx@uh.edu) should be populated.  Select United States for the country.
  5. Create a password and confirm the password.
  6. Check the End User License Agreement checkbox.
    Note:  You will use your PointSolutions account login information to open the PointSolutions software.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. In “Download” section, select Mac or PC to the PointSolutions Desktop software.
